Parenting and Body image

How to Raise a Child with Positive Body Image in Today's World

Saturday, December 8th 9-10:30am
West Los Angeles

Now more than ever is a time to talk about mental health. Body image, disordered eating, and over-exercising has become all too familiar in our culture. Children learn by example. They observe and mimic what they see in others.

Body image goes far beyond physical appearance. It involves the relationship we have with our unique bodies and points at the way we listen and respond to the messages it sends us.

Come and learn about the latest research on body image, how to set an example as a parent, and how to empower your children to grow up loving and respecting their bodies.

This is a FREE event for parents, health care providers, and anyone else who is involved in a child's life.

Coffee, tea, and refreshments will be provided. Contact Kendra with any questions at (424) 268-2762

Navigating Discipline

(An Experiential Workshop for Parents)

Saturday, March 2nd 9-12pm

West Los Angeles

You're an amazing parent. You try your very best, moment to moment, to support, love, and teach your child valuable life lessons. Moments of connection and joy with your children seem to somehow get you through the more challenging and sometimes never ending (and public?!) meltdowns.

You are resilient and you continue to conquer difficult parenting dilemmas despite the obstacles.

But what if you could spend less time in power struggles with your kids? Experience less conflict with your spouse on how to best respond to "bad behavior?" Not only reduce the frequency of meltdowns and tantrums but learn how to prevent them?

And most importantly learn how to best respond to your child during these challenging moments in a way that will help them build emotional and mental resilience?

This is a three hour informative and experiential event for parents who are dedicated to being the best parents they can be. With thousands of books on parenting, endless parenting advice from professionals, and a whole lot of unwanted advice from in laws, understanding how to best discipline children can feel nothing short of overwhelming and confusing.

The cost is $50 per person. Receive a discount if you attend as a couple.

Coffee, tea, and refreshments will be provided. Contact Kendra with any questions at (424) 268-2762
