Being a teenager is difficult. When a teen experiences anxiety in addition to the competitive social climate, academic pressures, and physiological changes, it can be extremely overwhelming and debilitating.
I help teens overcome their anxiety by using mindfulness based modalities that help them connect with their body, their feelings, and their thoughts. Once they are more connected they are able to integrate emotional experiences instead of using harmful or unwanted behaviors such as substances and self-harm to tune out their experiences.
